			<title>New Super Thin TGSI - PolyTac® (VicRoads Approved)</title>
			<link>http://www.eigentactile.com/content/view/12/</link>
<description>Eigen&amp;reg; Tactile is officially launching its two Tactile Ground Surface Indicator (TGSI) product series onto the market; these include the super thin polymer concrete TGSI product &amp;ndash; PolyTac&amp;reg; and Eigen&amp;reg; Ceramic TGSI range. The TGSI industry has been awaiting a retro fitting product that would not crack or puncture easily when exposed to the elements; PolyTac&amp;reg; arrives in a timely manner addressing this critical issue. Its quick and easy installation procedure makes PolyTac&amp;reg; an attractive TGSI product for existing outdoor application; its physical properties give it more ductility and durability over its conventional counterpart. With 95% inorganic material as its component, PolyTac&amp;reg; is posed to be more long lasting under UV exposure when compared to pure organic TGSI products. When subject to substrate failures, PolyTac&amp;reg; would not present as a tripping hazard due to its easily breakaway design. The combination of all these characteristics makes PolyTac&amp;reg; an ideal product for Tactile installation at Pram Crossings, Street Crossings, Outdoor Steps and Ramps. For further information on PolyTac&amp;reg; please visit our website at: http://www.eigentactile.com/content/view/25/27/ (content/view/25/27/) PolyTac&amp;reg; has been approved by VicRoads and Melbourne City Council for use as a ground surface indicator to the vision impaired. Eigen&amp;rsquo;s&amp;reg; Ceramic TGSI range has also been approved by VicRoads; visit our website for further details on this product: http://www.eigentactile.com/content/view/27/27/ (content/view/27/27/)</description>

			<title>Eigen VersTac TGSi</title>
			<link>http://www.eigentactile.com/content/view/34/</link>
<description> The practical purpose of a Tactile Ground Surface (TGSi) is to serve as a guiding device for the vision impaired pedestrians through difficult city terrains. The practical aspect of TGSi is upheld by the Australian Standard AS/NZS 1428.4 which details every aspect that affects its application from design to installation. The nature of the AS/NZS 1428.4 requires the TGSi to be visually prominent which is at odds with many design principles that may consider such contrast too intrusive for the end product. It has always been a great dilemma for Architects and Interior Designers to choose a TGSi product that could embrace both practicality and aesthetic as a whole. A compromise that has been adopted by the TGSi industry has seen the individual Stainless Steel and PVC / Polyurethane TGSi studs become very popular; end users of these products soon found themselves in a endless battle of replenishing missing pieces in the case of Stainless Steel and worn-off PVC / Polyurethane studs that become too slippery when wet. A better solution is needed and the answer is with the Eigen&amp;#39;s Granite TGSi range products (VersaTac and GraniTac).
